How to play - Roulette

Roulette, one of the most popular tables in any casino, is a game which features a wheel containing 37 stops and a ball, which when thrown by the dealer with have a chance of landing in any of the 37 stops. The stops are numbered 0, then 1 through to 36 non-sequentially. Each of the stops through 1 to 36 are coloured either Black or Red. (18 Red and 18 Black) The number 0 stop is the only difference, that is coloured Green.

Each player at the table has a chance to bet on where the ball will stop after being thrown by the dealer. If the ball lands on your number, you win!

Betting

Now you are to ready play. But before you start, here is list of the different ways you can bet on where that ball will land!

Inside bets and Straight-up bets

This is where you bet on only one number. The payout is 35-1 if the ball lands on that chosen number.

Split Bets

This is where you place your bet on the line between any two adjacent numbers. The payout is 17-1 if the ball lands on either of your chosen numbers.

Line or ‘Street’ Bets

This is where you place your bet on the line that runs across the left of the table layout on any of the twelve rows of three numbers. You will be betting on all three numbers in the ‘Street’ and will receive an 11-1 payout for a win. These bets can also work by connecting the zero.

Corner Bets

This is where you place your bet on the cross in the middle of any four numbers. For example placing your bet on the cross in the middle of 5, 6, 7, 8 will get you all four numbers. The payout for this bet is 8 -1 if the ball lands on any of your four chosen numbers.

Double Street Bets of Line Bets

This is to place a bet on all six numbers in the double streets. Placing your bet on the outside line between adjacent streets will get you a 5-1 payout if the ball lands on any of the six chosen numbers.

Outside Bets or Dozen Bets

This bet is simply to choose either the 1st, 2nd or 3rd set of twelve numbers on the board. If successful you will receive a payout of 2-1.

Column Bets

Placing a bet in the box at the end of any of the three columns will earn you a payout of 2-1.

Even Money Bets

All you have to choose for this bet is whether the ball will land on Black or Red, Odd or Even, 1-18 or 19-36. Placing this bet will have a payout of 1-1.

Racetrack Bets or ‘Orphelins’

This is to place split bets on 6/9 14/17 17/20 31/34 along with a straight bet on 1. Betting on this earn you a payout equal to the straight bet for 1 and the spilt bets on 6/9 14/17 17/20 31/34.

Tiers Du Cylindre

Placing split bets on 5/8, 10/11, 13/16, 23/24, 27/30, 33/36. Betting this way will earn you payout of 17-1.

Voisins Du Zero

This is when placing a Street Bet 0,2,3 a corner bet 25, 26, 28, 29 and Split Bets on 4/7, 12/15, 18/21, 19/22, 32/35. Payouts on this bets are equal to 11-1 on the Street Bet, 8-1 on the corner bet and 17-1 on all split bets.

Neighbour Bets

A simple but effective bet. Simply place your bet on one number of the wheel and a bet will be placed on the two numbers either side of it as they appear on the wheel. For example if you choose 23 you will be placing a single bet on 30, 8, 23, 10, 5. Payout for this bet is 35-1 if the ball lands on any of these five numbers.
